Peace -- Original poem

Think healthy and well
This moment tests faith and time
Time is precious and we need to maintain
Peace...peace helps the world turn, revolve around the sun
Peace...the turning point of life
Well let us hope for the best in life
We need the life pieced together with peace all over Earth
Peace is what we need all the time

Personal note: This poem was written on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, and it is from my journal. It is brief and simple, something that speaks for itself.

Stamping the Pathway: Women Plant Historical Marks

Personal note: Just to start, the topic of Women’s History Month is challenging, to balance the message and relevance of this piece, because of the fact that March has gained recognition as Women’s History Month, dated back in 1978. Throughout the course of history, an abundance of women mobilized during experiences, instances that confronted adversity based upon gender, race, sexual orientation, socioeconomic class and other classes within the societal umbrella. Respectively, many compassionate women acted as trailblazers even as many contenders questioned their integrity and intentions. However, it is certain that many women remained persistent and pushed the limits to share awareness. Another personal note: as a plethora of women have declared and acted toward powerful moments of our history, they have transcended above the fray. University textbooks prices can get expensive

Students who attend already know there are many expenses to pay off such as loans, tuition, room and board fees and to top it off, dreaded textbooks. Obviously, buying college textbooks can be essential for college students while enrolled in courses; however they may view buying textbooks as a penny-pinching experience. A vast majority of college students would agree, buying textbooks for classes can be a hassle; but many of us do it anyway. When professors assign textbooks for courses many students comply because they should help us learn coursework and pass classes. Although a main con of buying textbooks is sky-high prices, are there alternative resources when purchasing them? The answers maybe just near our fingertips. A few resources upon suggestion: The Chegg website is a textbook website where textbooks can be rented and shipped to a mailing address.
