Serenity -- An Original Poem

Breathe -- feel free from pain Let the mind rest from stress Feel at one in the mind Think openly to the world Let stress subside; Stress collides with energy  Energy attracts to serenity It warms the air -- less dense the stress Serenity is needed to feel free

Gratefulness Opens the Door

Well, I realize gratefulness is what turns the world. It reveals lots of emotions. Many people can relate because we yearn gratefulness--we crave it. What we want is affirmation, and for people to appreciate our actions to strive for a fulfilled world. Perhaps, we need to fit the puzzle pieces one at a time to see the puzzle'so picture. We together can strive a better world if we start with spreading happiness to others. Therefore, we are that change--together we can provide gratefulness!

This is Now. The Present.

Well, I can't believe how fast this year has passed. It has been an interesting year--2013 is going in the journal of unforgettable years. For instance, there are some things I experienced this year.  I stayed employed through my job Faced bumps along my employment Bought a car in June Went on vacation in July and earlier August to New York City in Lincoln Square Celebrated a third year anniversary with my love Maybe 2014 will be a better or more provoking year than this year. Well, I am thinking I will have to brace myself for the new year of 2014 which is coming up soon. So in short, I hope you guys have a good rest of the year, but keep in mind to live with peace and love because you live once in a lifetime.  Peace and love,  DAJ88

Mixed Emotions

Throughout life, I have noticed that many things change. I have realized my perceptions of people change such as my froendships and interpersonal relationships. I am willing to adjust to those changes to the best of what I can handle. But the biggest question, which I wonder myself, is whether I am doing my best to adjust to changes. Do I myself know what it is I can tolerate. Do I have the means to change what unexpectedly happens? I hope I can because I am willing to make the most of my life for what it offers me.

Why I chose to undergo jaw surgery...

There are so many questions that arise when I mention this to my friends, but the one question that comes up is, "Why do you need jaw surgery?" Here is where my answer comes in: I decided to get a corrective jaw surgery procedure because a) it'll help me health-wise in the long run and b) I don't like how I smile with an awkward underbite that acts as a flaw.  Now I know it does not look noticeable from the outside, but if you lived with my jaws, then you would understand.  Having an underbite can be awkward because I chew irregularly and go through sleep apnea at night.  It becomes a problem and an inconvenience, especially when you haven't had "normal" jaws since you were about 7 years old.   Also, getting jaw surgery was important to me because if I didn't, I'd experience health problems such as sleep apnea and dental problems.  I do not want to experience any more problems.  I have worn braces since I was a soph...

Inspiration is a beast

Whenever I get encouragement from my peers and friends, it really motivates me to do my best.  These past weeks have proven that I am capable of anything I pursue.  I just hope to make myself proud at the end of the day.

So sick and tired

I have been really feeling depressed these past couple of days. I think it is because I am trying to achieve my dreams of being a reporter and it is turning into sh—. Furthermore, if people want to tell me to stop trying, I will because apparently I am too stupid to realize I made a mistake. Certain mistakes I have made are of wanting to become a write; a mistake of dreaming; a mistake of feeling compassionate about something; and a mistake of having a hobby. I might as well stop trying because I will never been good enough and that is the result I have noticed. So goodbye dreams , hope you bless someone who is worthy of achieving you.
