I Am Sorry (Original poem)

This poem was written on Tuesday, January 8, 2019.

I am sorry for neglecting you, for not considering your feelings
I am sorry for ignoring your tears, the ones that flood your face and stream endlessly
You deserve more love and attention
Don't cry, don't fret, don't stress
I am sorry your anguish has taken a toll, one that truly caused you pain
I am sorry your voice was silenced by the volatility
You deserve better
You demand better, and the world shall listen
I am sorry for your scars -- physical, emotional, and mental
I am sorry I never liberated you
You need the freedom from the suffocation
You deserve better
You deserve love
Love more than hate
I am sorry
I want to do better by you

Personal note: Just to start, the topic of Women’s History Month is challenging, to balance the message and relevance of this piece, because of the fact that March has gained recognition as Women’s History Month, dated back in 1978. University textbooks prices can get expensive

Students who attend already know there are many expenses to pay off such as loans, tuition, room and board fees and to top it off, dreaded textbooks. Obviously, buying college textbooks can be essential for college students while enrolled in courses; however they may view buying textbooks as a penny-pinching experience. A vast majority of college students would agree, buying textbooks for classes can be a hassle; but many of us do it anyway. When professors assign textbooks for courses many students comply because they should help us learn coursework and pass classes. Although a main con of buying textbooks is sky-high prices, are there alternative resources when purchasing them? The answers maybe just near our fingertips. A few resources upon suggestion: The Chegg website is a textbook website where textbooks can be rented and shipped to a mailing address.
