Why I chose to undergo jaw surgery...

There are so many questions that arise when I mention this to my friends, but the one question that comes up is, "Why do you need jaw surgery?" Here is where my answer comes in: I decided to get a corrective jaw surgery procedure because a) it'll help me health-wise in the long run and b) I don't like how I smile with an awkward underbite that acts as a flaw.  Now I know it does not look noticeable from the outside, but if you lived with my jaws, then you would understand.  Having an underbite can be awkward because I chew irregularly and go through sleep apnea at night.  It becomes a problem and an inconvenience, especially when you haven't had "normal" jaws since you were about 7 years old.   Also, getting jaw surgery was important to me because if I didn't, I'd experience health problems such as sleep apnea and dental problems.  I do not want to experience any more problems.  I have worn braces since I was a soph...

Inspiration is a beast

Whenever I get encouragement from my peers and friends, it really motivates me to do my best.  These past weeks have proven that I am capable of anything I pursue.  I just hope to make myself proud at the end of the day.

So sick and tired

I have been really feeling depressed these past couple of days. I think it is because I am trying to achieve my dreams of being a reporter and it is turning into sh—. Furthermore, if people want to tell me to stop trying, I will because apparently I am too stupid to realize I made a mistake. Certain mistakes I have made are of wanting to become a write; a mistake of dreaming; a mistake of feeling compassionate about something; and a mistake of having a hobby. I might as well stop trying because I will never been good enough and that is the result I have noticed. So goodbye dreams , hope you bless someone who is worthy of achieving you.

Name a name

What makes a name unique? What makes a name apart of someone? What makes a name stand out? What makes a name a name? Although it is difficult to answer these questions, it is safe to say that all names are unique. No matter how traditional or different they are pronounced. Whether a name constitutes someone or something’s personality , a name is special. However, sometimes when something has a ridiculous name such as Apple or Pilot Inspektor as in relation to children, it may be embarrassing and somewhat insulting . So have you ever wondered or thought of why a name has a reason for existing? Think about it and apply the thoughts with critical thinking . Perhaps, names are special to anyone or anything, no matter how absurd or good they are.

True happiness is…

Illustrative picture symbolizes confusion or  questions something. Courtesy of Microsoft Office Online  Wholeheartedly , this can be interpreted in an abundance of ways.  So thought I would take the forth effort in sharing my thoughts.  This is a topic I have wanted to write lately.  What exactly constitute happiness?  There are oh so many definitions and “methods” to attain happiness. As many people know happiness is very difficult to manage or uphold because there are many setbacks.  Therefore, I mean there are people or things that want to DISCONTINUE or STOP your happiness or my happiness.  Everybody in this world deserves to feel carefree and smile.  If only it was that easy. Personally, I would say DO NOT listen to nonsense that will get in the way of how you want to live.  There are reasons why each person lives; we choose our own destinies.  Be you.  Be true.  Be honest.  Be yourself....

Be random, it’s OK

D o not be afraid to be different. We are people; we are individuals and want to live carefree . If you are afraid to be yourself, then why not act like everyone else? It is what you should do to fit as the “norm” right? Who cares! Whether you truly believe what people say about you is true, just forget about side-talk and live your life. Be you. Be true. Be honest. Be yourself .

University textbooks prices can get expensive

Students who attend already know there are many expenses to pay off such as loans, tuition, room and board fees and to top it off, dreaded textbooks. Obviously, buying college textbooks can be essential for college students while enrolled in courses; however they may view buying textbooks as a penny-pinching experience. A vast majority of college students would agree, buying textbooks for classes can be a hassle; but many of us do it anyway. When professors assign textbooks for courses many students comply because they should help us learn coursework and pass classes. Although a main con of buying textbooks is sky-high prices, are there alternative resources when purchasing them? The answers maybe just near our fingertips. A few resources upon suggestion: The Chegg website is a textbook website where textbooks can be rented and shipped to a mailing address. It could be a good resource considering it allows students to rent textbooks and then mail them back to the sender. Another w...
